is a film based on true events- the lies that that led to the US invasion of Iraq- every voting adult should watch to see how some of our government leaders sometime lie to get the US into wars!
This story is based on true events; when in
2003, the Bush administration prepared to invade Iraq, skeptical
journalists from the Knight Ridder News organization, investigated the event that let to this war and didn't believe the US government claim that Saddam Hussein (the Iraqi leader) had weapons WMDs and terrorist ties to Al Qaeda, while the American mass media accepted those lies and became a de facto war propaganda machine for the US government- and spread the George W Bush's administration's claim that Saddam Hussein has
weapons of mass destruction.
The film was released July 13, 2018. it is directed by Rob Reiner. I'm glad I saw this film- it reminded me of those dark years- when our government deceived the American public- to get what it wanted- an immoral/unnecessary war- and total lack of regard for people's wishes and lives.
