"SENATE Democrats Defeat Pro-Life Senate Bill Banning Late-Term Abortions After 20 Weeks

The Senate voted yesterday (1-29-18) on whether to stop the Democrats’ filibuster of the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, legislation that would ban abortions after 20 weeks — as neither Congress nor state legislatures can vote to ban all abortions under Roe v. Wade. The bill highlights how unborn babies feel intense pain when they are killed in abortions. Fifty-one senators (forty-eight Republicans and three Democrats) voted to take the bill up for debate, but 60 votes were required. 

 “Americans should be outraged that pro-abortion Senate Democrats refuse to protect unborn babies who can feel pain. An overwhelming majority of Americans support this bill, including 56% of Democrats and 56% of those who identify as ‘pro-choice’,” said Carol Tobias, president of National Right to Life."

This is my letter to two NY  democrats and Bernie Sanders (VT)

Dear Senator Gillibrand, Sanders and Schumer,
Would you be so kind to enlighten me why Senate Democrats yesterday blocked a vote on a pro-life Senate bill to ban late-term abortions — a bill that would save as many as 18,000 unborn babies form abortions each and every year?

The Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, legislation that would ban abortions after 20 weeks — A bill that highlights how unborn babies feel intense pain when they are killed in abortions.

I am saddened and outraged that pro-abortion Senate Democrats refuse to protect unborn babies who can feel pain. An overwhelming majority of Americans support this bill, including 56% of Democrats and 56% of those who identify as ‘pro-choice', according to Carol Tobias, president of National Right to Life.

In the vast majority of cases, there's no medical need/evidence why an abortion should be carried out after several months of gestation- unless of course the life of the mother is at risk- which isn't normally the case in most abortions.

Please, be kind and explain your reasoning to me, in why you failed to support this bill.

Tomorrow marks the 44th ugly and sad anniversary in the life of our nation; Roe v. Wade, the US Supreme Court law that legalized abortion on demand (1-22-73). Since that infamous day in 1973, in the USA there have been  over 60 million, 60, 121, 658 and counting. IN THE WORLD, almost a billion and a half! So far 1, 482,232,251, children have been aborted  (Source: http://www.numberofabortions.com/

 ARE ALL THESE ABORTIONS REALLY NECESSARY? Not according to statistics- take a look at these images- they're very clear! And not if you believe that life is a sacred gift from God!

 

But why so many abortions? I suspect that there are at least three reasons why so many women have abortions; degradation of society, the culture of death/violence and economic convenience. All of these factors diminish the value of life.  

I believe that the loss of of moral values have brought the break down of many families, the culture of death and violence, and economic convenience that gives little value to life.

 

Then, we also have to factor in the actions of those governments that claim to protect life and families, but they don't. They spend billions on armaments and cut social services, the very programs that help working families and single parents. The first one of these nations is the USA. In fact, the 2018 US military budget is the biggest in the world, over $750 billion- as much as the combined military budgets of the richest eleven countries in the world!

The reason that has been given for this free and unrestricted way of getting rid of a human being, is that a woman has a right to do whatever she wants with her body. But this is according to whom? It is according to the State, not God! God says not to murder- human life shouldn't be taken away because it is an inconvenience. In fact, if you look at statistics, that's what the reason for the vast majority of abortions in the USA.

 I usually watch the State of the Uniion address by the President, however, this year I will abstain, I'll boycott it! Here's why.
Trump has so far shown to be unfit to lead. He has proven to be impulsive, arrogant, ignorant, a liar, and a disrespectful and racist bully. It's not just my opinion- many Americans feel the same- just read the read/watch the national (US) news, and the international media. They do not like Trump, but Americans and foreigners adored Obama. This isn't just my opinion- he was ranked the top 18 US president by the US media. Of course Trump will say that the media is worthless- he calls it FAKE NEWS! While we should all believe him! The one who has lied on an avarage almost 6 times a day- since he's been in office! And spent one third of his presidency playing golf!
No wonder why many people liked Obama- Although he was not perfect- I agree, no human being is. But Obama, in 8 years in the White House, had no scandals and had plenty of dignity and respect for everyone, and he was not an ignorant racist.

I personally never liked Trump because he has always lied, he is a dishonest, has had 5 bankruptcies, boasted about not paying taxes, and has just recently given a huge tax break to corporations. It is clear that this president is taking advantage of the working class and the poor. His was a great tax plan for corporations and millionnaires! And one that will be a disastrous plan for the middle class, workers and the poor.  How will he pay for it? By cutting social services from the middle class and the poor.

The US Constitution is also clear, it says that: "ALL MEN ARE CREATED EQUAL". What does this mean? It means that our dislike/hate of other races/people- should not influence the political actions/laws that a political leader is working on. Being a racist isn't against the law, what is illegal is when your actions show/prove that you are discriminating against people on the basis of race, religion, national origin and sex. And that's exactly what this president has done so far with his words and actions. He has discriminated many times, and he has offended many people. Just several WEEKs ago HE CALLED AFRICAN COUNTRIES SHIT HOLES. Do you call this dignified behavior of a US president?
He has offended the military, some of our own leaders and international leaders too. He has repeatedly slandered the media, derided the CIA, the FBI, has abused women, has passed a Muslim ban (that's discrimination on the basis of religion) and he recently offended African nations. Obama never did these things!

Trump doesn't deserve to hold the title of President because he has no dignity! That is why I will not listen to him speak next Tuesday, and/or any other day after- unless he changes into a dignified/respectful human being!


 

Alla fine del mese di gennaio (giorno 30, martedi prossimo) come tradizione, il presidente Americano fara' il suo discorso annuale sulla TV nazionale. Sono appassionato di politica che di solito ascolto questo discorso all a nazione, ma questa'anno faro' un'eccezione, un boycott! Non l'ascoltero'. Ecco il perche'.
 
A molti Americani non gli piaceva l'ex presidente Obama, e ancora oggi- alcuni ne parlano con odio- perché? Semplice, era un presidente bianco. Quindi non si rendono conto che sono dei  razzisti. Ora invece, tante persone (me incluso) sopportano a Trump- non  è un presidente bianco, ma perché fin'ora si e' comportato da ignorante, e un razzista arrogante. Oltre ad essere: bugiardo, disoneso e maleducato. Questa, purtroppo, non è solo la mia opinione- i fatti lo dimostrano (basta ascoltarlo e vedere quello che ha fatto fin'oggi). Molti americani nel piu recente sondaggio nazionale- su Trump- e' gia' oltre il 50% negativo), e quindi la pensano allo stesso modo- non gli va; giu'- basta leggere i giornali e/o guardare le notizie nazionali (statunitensi) e i media internazionali. Anche alla maggior parte delle altre nazioni, quasi il mondo intero- non piace Trump.
Ma come mai alla grande maggioranza dell'America e del mondo piaceva Obama, e molti lo adoravano? Perché seppure Obama non era un nero perfetto - e ne sono d'accordo perché nessun essere umano, ne presidente lo è - tuttavia, Obama era un presidente che aveva dignità e rispetto per tutti, e non era un razzista ignorante, e ne bugiardo!
Non offendetevi se dico la verita'- capisco che a volte fa' male- e permettetemi anche di ricordarvi che gli Stati Uniti d'America, sono un paese libero, a tutti è permesso esprimere le proprie opinioni, a condizione che non offendano gli altri. E molti Americani siamo gia' stufi di questo presidente- che non ha rispetto per nessuno- neanche del governo USA! E tantomeno della stampa! L'unica cosa che sa' fare e' di arrichirsi alle spalle della classe lavoratrice e dei poveri.
Inoltre, vorrei rispettosamente ricordarvi che gli Stati Uniti sono una nazione in cui la Costituzione dichiara: "TUTTI GLI UOMINI SONO CREATI UGUALI". Cosa significa questo? Significa che la nostra avversione, o il nostro odio verso le altre razze e/o persone non dovrebbe influenzare le azioni, ne le leggi politiche su cui un leader politico sta' lavorando. Essere un razzista non è contro la legge- ciò che rende il razzismo illegale è quando le azioni dimostrano che stai discriminando contro persone in base alla loro razza, alla loro religione, o alla loro origine nazionale, o al loro sesso. E questo presidente, con le sue parole e azioni, ha infatti discriminato molte volte e ha offeso molte persone. La SETTIMANA PASSATA ha CHIAMATO I PAESI AFRICANI SHIT HOLES, ovvero dei CESSI. 
Chiamate questa una frase dignitosa di un presidente americano?
Quando Obama era presidente molti Americani (razzisti) lo odiavano perché era nero - ora che questo presidente è bianco - e gli piace nemmeno. Per quale motivo? Semplice, perché e' disonesto e arrogante, che odia i neri, le minoranze e immigrati.
 
Personalmente Trump non me è mai piaciuto perché ha sempre mentito, quindi è un imbroglione, è un bully- un prepotente- ha avuto 5 fallimenti, si è vantato di non pagare le tasse, e ha appena firmato/approvato enorme sgravi fiscali alle multinazionali. Dove prendera' questi soldi? Semplice,  tagliando i fondi dai servizi sociali dalla classe media e dei poveri- taglianndo servizi come la sanita', le scuole, l'ifrastruttora (suole, strade, edifici, ecc) e altro. Trump ha offeso la stampa dicendo di essere una FAKE NEWS, dei falsi. Ha offeso le nostre forze armate, la CIA, l'FBI, ha abusato tante donne, ha passato un BAN- un divieto musulmano (questa è discriminazione religiosa) e ora chiama le nazioni africane cessi.
Allora dico che QUEST'UOMO NON SI MERITA DI ESSERE PRESIDENTE.  E' un maleducato e ignorante di prima categoria! Questo è quello che penso - e non cambio idea, a meno che Trump fara' dietro front! Se si converte, cambia e diventa una brava persona - un vero uomo di valori, come il rispetto e l'onestà, e incomincia a trattare tutte le persone e istituzioni con dignità. Trump deve essere cacciato! Prima che sia troppo tardi per l'America e il mondo.

1. MLK Jr. used Gandhi's (India's liberator from the British) example to fight racism and injustice. A method that has its origins in the teachings of Jesus' Christ. MLK Jr is a great man of history. He is a man we should imitate and remember always, because he applied the universal values of the gospel (the Bible) in his life, especially in solving problems of the time, which are similar to our current ones. Some of those values, that MLK taught us, are honesty, justice, equality, tolerance, freedom, etc.
 
1. MLK Jr. segui l'esempio di Gandhi (che libero' l'India dal dominio inglese) per combattere il razzismo e l'ingiustizia. Un metodo che ha le sue origini negli insegnamenti in Gesù Cristo. MLK Jr è stato un grande uomo nella storia dell'umanità- un' uomo che dobbiamo avere il coraggio di imitare e ricordare sempre- specialmente oggi- perché lui ebbe la forza di applicare (nella sua vita) i valori universali del Vangelo (la Bibbia)- specialmente per risolvere i problemi del suo tempo. Che sono simili ai problemi attuali.
Alcuni di quei valori cristiani universali, che MLK ci ha insegnato, sono l'onestà, la giustizia, l'uguaglianza, la tolleranza, la libertà, ecc.

2. MLK Jr. was a person who had faith ... which allowed him to go "all the way", even if the cost was his life. However, he was successful, I believe he reached his goals and because we still remember him today. Today our society needs people like him, because our world, at this time is in turmoil and going through changes.

3. Racism, and injustices continue; we saw in 2020 with so much police brutality in the US against blacks. However, people like MLK Jr. give me hope because they have courage to say what's right and inspire us to be better. They to open the doors and windows of life to let rays of sunshine- fresh hope- for a new tomorrow. People like MLK Jr provide hope for a better world. They do it through their work, their actions, and their ideals of peace and justice. Dr. King  DR. KING THANKS FOR YOUR SHINING EXAMPLE!

3. Il razzismo e le ingiustizie continuano ancora oggi, ed è un peccato perchè non è solo al culmine del potere politico, ma si trova anche a tutti i livelli della società, tra la gente comune. Corruzione, disonestà, arroganza, egoismo, mancanza di rispetto e di tolleranza per le genti, per la vita e l'ambiente, con la violenza e con guerre inutili, con tanti abusi e omicidi. Tutti questi sono dilaganti in molte parti o nella nostra società. Sembra non esserci speranza. Tuttavia, persone come MLK Jr. ispiarano speranza perché hanno il coraggio di dire ciò che è giusto e ci mostrano come agire per il bene comune. Loro aprono le porte, e le finestre della vita, per lasciare entrare i raggi di sole - la nuova speranza - per un nuovo domani. Persone come MLK Jr danno speranza per un mondo migliore. Lo fanno attraverso il loro lavoro, le loro azioni e i loro ideali di pace e giustizia. Dr. King DR. RE GRAZIE PER IL TUO ESEMPIO DI LUCE!

Il 3zo Lunedi di gennaio, e' LA FESTA DI MARTIN LUTHER KING JR - ECCO ALCUNE SUE FRASI FAMOSE in italiano, E ALCUNE SUE IMMAGINI.
MLK Jr. mise in atto le idee di Gandhi (il liberatore dell'India dagli inglesi) per combattere il razzismo e l'ingiustizia. Tale metodo, la non-violenza, ebbe le sue origini negli insegnamenti di Gesù 'Cristo. 
 
MLK Jr. e stato un grande uomo della storia dell'uomo. Certamente un uomo da imitare e ricordare sempre, perché ha applicato i valori del Vangelo nella sua vita, soprattutto nella soluzione dei problemi razziati e ingiusti Americani.

Il razzismo, l'indifferenza, e le ingiustizie continuano. Peccati che non sono non solo al culmine del potere politico, ma anche ai bassi livelli della società, tra la gente comune. Tutti conosciamo questi problemi contemporanei; la corruzione, la disonesta ', l'essere arroganti, la maleducazione, la mancanza di rispetto e la tolleranza per la vita e per l'ambiente, poi la violenza con le guerre e gli omicidi quotidiani, la fame, la precariata', ecc., ecc.
Tutti problemi dilaganti in molte parti della società. Sembra piuttosto cupo, depressante, triste, non è vero? Tuttavia, sono le persone come Martin Luther King Jr. che mi danno speranza, perche' sono persone che aprono le porte e le finestre della vita, e fanno entrare i raggi di sole- la speranza, le boccate d'aria fresca per un nuovo domani. Persone come MLK Jr ispirano speranza per un mondo migliore attraverso i loro ideali, i loro valori universali basati sulla giustizia sulla tolleranza e il rispetto, e lo mostrano con i fatti, con il loro lavoro, le loro azioni, che hanno come scopo il bene comune, la pace e la giustizia.
